Dynamics of rotation in chiral nuclei

The dynamics of chiral nuclei is investigated for the first time with time-dependent and tilted axis cranking covariant density functional theories on a three-dimensional space lattice in microscopic self-consistent way. experimental energies two pairs doublet bands $^{135}$Nd are well reproduced without any adjustable parameters beyond well-defined functional. A novel mechanism, i.e., precession, revealed from total angular momentum body-fixed frame, whose harmonicity associated transition planar into aplanar rotations increasing spin. This provides fully dynamical view to understand excitations nuclei.
